Benefitting the Sea Turtle Preservation Society (STPS) a 501 (c) (3) all volunteer not for profit organization and our mission statement is “Helping Sea Turtles Survive”.
The STPS Turtle Krawl 5K Run/Walk is a family favorite event in Brevard County because it is a great race and benefits our much-loved threatened and endangered sea turtles. Runners/walkers come every year to Nance Park not only from all over Florida but from all over the US.
Part of the Space Coast Runners’ 2018-2019 Runner of the Year Series (2nd race in the series). Registration includes a top of the line technical race shirt, featuring original artwork by local artist Michael Nemnich. (shirts guaranteed for the first 2500 registrants)
Online registration offers optional awesome sea turtle finisher medals for $15.
Electronic race timing and course management provided by Running Zone.
Offers registration for Competitive Walkers.
Free Kids Run for ages 12 and under: ¼ , ½, 1 mile distances, plus a finish line spring with prizes for all participants.
Offers amenities such as Finish line DJ spinning great tunes, water, sprinklers and humorous signs along the course, ice cold washcloths for finishers, and free breakfast and massages after the race.
HUGE sea turtle medals presented to nearly 200 award winners, 5 places deep.
Virtual Race offered for runners/walkers unable to make the Nance Park race. Run it anytime, anywhere! Virtual registrations come from all over the US plus Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and members of the US Armed Forces serving overseas
STPS is a corporate partner of Brevard Zoo and contributes a significant part of the proceeds from the Turtle Krawl 5K Run/Walk to help support the Zoo’s “Sea Turtle Healing Center”.
