On Tuesday (September 2), the Sex Pistols with Frank Carter announced that they have postponed their upcoming North and South American tour dates after guitarist Steve Jones broke his wrist, forcing a pause on shows that were originally set to begin on September 16 in Dallas. Jones shared the news with his typical sense of humor on Instagram: “I’ve broken my wrist, so unfortunately we won’t be doing any shows for a while. The good news is the surgeon said I will be back playing guitar in the not-too-distant future. The other good news is I’ll be 70 tomorrow! God bless, and God save the wrist.” The 50th anniversary tour, marking the band’s first North American performances since 2003, was set to showcase their classic album, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols, in full, but all dates will now be rescheduled once Jones heals. Meanwhile, original frontman John Lydon has publicly criticized the reunion tour with Carter, dismissing it as a “clown’s circus” and “karaoke presentation.” (Rolling Stone)
