In a new interview with Music Week, Oasis’ manager, Alec McKinlay, confirms that there are no plans for the band to record new music alongside their highly-anticipated upcoming reunion tour. “This is very much the last time around, as Noel’s made clear in the press,” McKinlay says. “It’s a chance for fans who haven’t seen the band to see them, or at least for some of them to. There’s no plan for any new music.” The Britpop legend’s reunion tour will feature the long-bickering brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher sharing the stage together for the first time in 15 years, with the 41-show run set to kick off in Cardiff on July 4, spanning across the U.K., Ireland, North America, Asia, Australia, and South America. Oasis is also collaborating on a film centered around their reunion tour with Peaky Blinders writer Steven Knight and directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, with complete details about the film yet to be revealed.
