Oasis made a triumphant return at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on Friday night (July 4), as long-feuding brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher took the stage with their arms around each other before performing their first concert together in 16 years. Noel, 58, and Liam, 52, were joined by guitarists Gem Archer and Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs, bassist Andy Bell, and drummer Joey Waronker for the first show of Oasis’ highly-anticipated Live 25 reunion tour. The two-hour, 23-song set found the Britpop legends in fine form, delivering anthems like “Live Forever” and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star” that thrilled the capacity crowd of 74,500 rabid Oasis fans from throughout the world, closing the encore with a trio of massive hits, “Don’t Look Back In Anger,” “Wonderwall,” and “Champagne Supernova.”

Liam joked about the ticket chaos surrounding the reunion by teasing the audience, “You having a good time, yeah? Was it worth the £40,000 pounds you paid for the ticket?” The tour opener was followed by a second sold-out show at the same venue in Cardiff on Saturday, with additional upcoming dates scheduled across the UK and Ireland, before kicking off the North American leg on August 24 in Toronto.
