On Monday (June 23), Queens of the Stone Age announced the dates and details of their 2025 The Catacombs Tour, a special run of shows inspired by their recent concert film, Alive in the Catacombs. The band describes their upcoming 11-date tour as, “A limited series of very special one-night-only evenings at a curated selection of North America’s most historic theaters.” The shows will be “comprised of all-new arrangements crafted specifically for the occasion and enhanced by assembled ensembles, the end result will be a precious few unique and intimate performances unlike any previous QOTSA tour.” The jaunt gets underway on October 2 in Chicago, making stops in Detroit, Toronto, Philadelphia, New York, and Los Angeles, before winding down on November 21 in New Orleans. An artist pre-sale starts on Tuesday (June 24), followed by a public on-sale on Friday (June 27). A press release for the tour states, “Appropriate dress is encouraged — you’ll want to look as good as the music is going to sound on this very special evening at the theater.” (Consequence of Sound)
